I'd suggest just going out and cruising around. Maybe take one rod in case you see something fishy... But go out and get familiar with it. Fish are fish and fish do be fishin'... Everything is everywhere. There are lay downs, rock piles, isolated cover, slopping or steep bottoms in every body of water.

Be safe and get comfortable learning where things are the first few trips.

Not gonna lie, that has to be the coolest and creepiest photograph I have ever seen. Either way that is a hoss (hauce) of a fish!
