Love to get out and fish anytime, mostly weekends. Have always just loved fishing and being on the water. Currently fish from a kayak

Changed it up today, and went to a local reservoir vs Lake Lanier. What a difference, I was essentially the only one out and no pressure or chaos as weekends get get on Lanier. I was able to catch a handful of fish when out for a few hours. While no big size, (12โ€ avg size)Loved working on techniques and having success with baits I donโ€™t have much success in like the shaky head and jig.

Lake Lanier - fish are on the move, had some luck with swim bait (2.8 kietech 3/16 jig head) in bait balls off points, and shaky head / drop shot off docks. Not much luck with crank baits and spinner baits in windy conditions. Would love to get better with these two baits. Keep fallback to my swim bait and drop shot. Did loose a good one on a crank bait, threw me right away. Bottom line getting bites but not as many as I would like

Caught this after the fact, but great session. Been running into a lot of schooling. Appreciate the insight

Had some success on Lanier today with a short outing, it was certainly cold, windy, and spitting rain. Out with the kayak and just a few other bass boats around. Kept moving as recommended from Brian and found them on points around lots of bait balls and docks out of the wind with a swim bait and shaky head. Could not get a bite on crankbaits or spinner.
