Night fishing: Now that I don’t have to worry about snakes and gators at my feet that I can’t see at night, I need to learn night fishing for bass. Any tips and suggestions would be appreciated. Need to get my ‘Night Moves’ on! I’m sure I’ll be entering some night tournaments here in Florida. Thanks in advance.

Boat registration tomorrow. Figured I’d ‘beat the bank’ as Dodson says. This is one of those WTH moments on the Tamiami Trail.

This might sound odd to some but something to think about. We are all learning daily about fishing. During a recent conversation with a friend the subject of “Paying it forward” came up. After the movie came out around year 2000 there was a movement. Who else remembers it and tries to practice it when the opportunity arises? It sure makes me feel good when I get the chance.

Pay it forward is an expression for describing the beneficiary of a good deed repaying the kindness to others rather than paying it back to the original benefactor. It is also called serial reciprocity.

Made it back to Florida safe and sound just before the live. Can’t wait to put this to good use. It came from great lineage!

Just got accepted and registered for the iCast event in Orlando this July. Going to be a great opportunity to promote my company brand and start to build relationships with Manufacturers and other Industry folks. Just by doing things the right way and getting accepted, I feel as if I’ve already won.

Part of research is finding out regulations for a body of water you’ll be fishing. With me picking up a boat coming up very quickly, I found a requirement for me to legally launch in the Everglades National Park. The effort and knowledge gained was worth it. Even though I’m going to be primarily using it for my tournament journey around Orlando based fisheries I needed this for Everglades trips. Next step is USCG Captain. Again, more knowledge.

Shakey Heads aren’t supposed to work on Peacocks. Agitated them enough on their bed. Got 2 on SMH Purple Rain a few minutes ago.

Just to put it out there. This weekend i'm going to be spending my last weekend chained to the bank.

I've entered into an agreement to pick up a Lowe Stinger 188 mid May from someone we all know and respect. I'll be taking another trip to South Carolina for delivery.

This opens the door to tournament fishing as a boater and pushing my company forward. #Extremely excited!

Mack Toon and I were discussing the new Berkley Forward braid during a round table.

A lot of what I do is testing gear. Long story short, while the “Forward” model of the Berkley braid absolutely casts further than Daiwa J-Braid or PowerPro x8 with less effort… it has just too many weird negatives to continue to use after a month of thorough testing 5+ days a week. I’m restringing my spinners right now.

Save your money. I can’t recommend it in good conscience.

Watching BLat’s Lake Hartwell on YouTube. Day 2 “… Bullcrap, WAP WAP WAP, WAP, Pause! WAP WAP Pause, he got it!” I was rolling since he saw my style warming up.

Some people I fish with down here are constantly telling me I work a Jerkbait too fast and doing it wrong… as I’m holding the fish with a smile.

I can’t wait to have them watch the video. Thanks B!
