There are lots of pockets and lanes without. Of course the wind blows it around. I’ve never seen so many cypress trees in my life. All viable targets. With that said, my hookups were in open water, but Mack said the lake was extremely odd that day.

I’ve either tilted the board a little to the bump end to let the weight hold the mouth closed or weighted it first to give it time to chill out.

That’s a Peacock Bass, or as us locals call them “Peas”. Welcome to South Florida! They are the OG Get Off My Lawn Cichlids. I’m sure it pulled drag on you.
