Don’t look back and Monday morning quarterback it. At the end of the day, all we are doing is getting the fish’s attention. You found them and got their attention. That’s 3/4 of the game. Kudos.

Everglades update: Went down to the Tamiami trail twice this week since temps are stabilizing further. Used the SUF lake breakdown methods on the major canal targeting largemouth. Yes, same principles apply to any body of water. Bottom line is it worked better than I expected. I never thought it would be possible to catch so many in a day. 26 on Monday and 49 yesterday. Thanks BLat and everyone who contributed to the knowledge!

If she only knew. I didn’t tell her I got both the spinning and casting version. Hehe

Came north to our other place near Orlando this weekend. Half asleep this morning got up and searched YouTube to find some new spots. Started watching this guy fish a spot. He seemed very familiar sounding dressed all in Z-Man attire. After the coffee hit, I realized it was BLat from 5 years ago! Went to the same spot near the Florida turnpike. Pulled in 4 largies in about an hour on a downsized jerkbait. One was a darn nice one. Great coincidence!

Hey there from Florida. Just got home from an afternoon of fishing the Everglades. Glad to report the water temps are getting stable again. Peacocks aren’t quite as aggressive yet but the largemouth are definitely tugging back harder than the past few weeks. Wife happened to be watching BLat’s latest video. Sounds great that one of the goals is to sponsor a family. She mentioned how nice it was to see such a good community in this crazy world. I’m glad to be a small part of this one.

Granted we joined this group for the angling experiences, but one of the aspects that made me interested in you was your personality. Inside glimpses of who you are and the family events are a bonus. Great to see your family is doing well.

I fish for Peas constantly since I live there. Amazing how hard they fight for their size. Enjoy the drag singing that sweet song of the battle!

Agree completely. Throwing something that is completely different than the target has seen or been conditioned to has worked for me for decades. Lures I use for peacocks in South Florida are deadly in Pennsylvania. Loud sound with obnoxious colors, odd techniques seems to peak curiosity. Dare to be different.
