I fished in 3 bass opens last year as a co-angler. In the first tournament I brought 6 which was a bit too many. I never touched two of them and with that many rods in such a small space I kept getting tangled up. The next event I brought 4, 2 spinning and 2 bait casters. This tournament I was changing lures a lot and was wishing I had one more rod. By the time I made it to my last event I brought 5 and feel like I finally figured out the best set up for myself. It was a bit of trial and error but I got it figured out eventually 😅

Michael Wheeler thats awesome! I’ve got a lot to learn about fishing grass like that. I work around a lot of lily pads but I don’t see milfoil or hydrilla very often
