I think 6 rods is the sweet spot. You can probably get away with 8, but it's pushing it. I would consult with your boater and see what they're okay with. Personally, I would keep as many ready-to-go setups as possible. The more time you spend swapping reels and relining, the less time you have line in the water to catch fish.
