day 2 at Alum creek was not any better started my morning at the Marina break walls and yep them cute smallies were there. got em on the drop shot with the flat worm. decided to make a change and ran north to new water i have never been to. i took the west(left ) branch and fished the island. circling/laps starting from 15ft depth working my way in. every lap i changed baits .pulled the large mount with the crank bait. the water clarity has drop to 1 ft visibility and stained. the break wall on the main lake was 3-4ft visibility. i finished my day working my way back out cranking the points. no luck. todays arsenal of baits was the same as yesterday. struggled to find scorable fish.

Captains log 27 September, scratch that, I'm not a captain. water temp 72 degrees, weather 82 sunny and bird blue sky's, winds light(under 10) fished the main lake points on the west side of Alum Creek today. stayed in 15 ft, this put me close to 1 cast from the outside weed line. 10 hrs and i caught a couple of cute ones and a couple of wally,s. (they weren't even enough to make a samich) todays tools of destruction (non-destruction) 1/2oz Rattle trap, Berkley dime 6 sexy shad, stunna +1, 3/16 moon eye jig head with mooch minnow gizzard shad, neko rig green pumpkin stick bait, green pumpkin flat worm on a drop shot, and a micro jig with a trd trailer.( like Bardie I can't get myself to throw a ned rig, this one has a skirt) ALL my fish came off the drop shot off of the marina break walls sitting in 15ft. not sure what i'm going to do tomorrow. its not fishin like June. Any suggestions?

Day 2 on Indian went better. Was able to land most of my fish , just over 8lbs which put me over the cut line and into the semi finals in October.

Day 1 of the Bass Federation state qualifier at Indian Lake did not go like practice. Only had 5.6lbs. I've got some ground to make up tomorrow.

Today at Indian went decent 8.25 for the day. I eliminated a lot of water and i hope i have a solid plan for the end of the month Bass Federation State 2 day tournament. I also gained a few spots on the SUF tournament.

INDIAN LAKE didn't disappoint. 11lbs again but man did I have to work for it. A 3.10 and a 3.25 for kickers. Both on a 1/2 Oz spinner bug. Going to explore new water tomorrow hope to add a couple more spots to the roster.

What began as an episode of deja vu quickly went south. I am repeating the trip from a couple of weeks ago. I fished today at Alum Creek, learned a little and explored all new wate. Loaded up and headed west to Indian Lake to fish tomorrow. On a pit stop and gas fill up I did my routine walk around, looking at tie down straps, traier hitch, and tires. When I discovered a flat tire. Not sure how long I was driving with a flat but oh well. If you have a dual axle trailer get yourself a 4x4 it makes changing a tire so much easier. Long story short a bolt from the caliper came free, allowing the caliper to pivot and rub a hole on the inside of the rim. Some mcgiver ingenuity with zip ties and I was able to get to a home depot for a new bolt. Guess who checked the other bolts. Now that that is out of the way we can enjoy the rest of the trip. Happy 4th and for those who have served THANK YOU
