I updated from a 2009 nitro to a 2019 triton 2 years ago and I'm glad I did. The sense of security was worth it for me. 2 stroke vs 4 stroke was a big plus. Try doing this for a while and see how it feels. Start making the payments now to yourself. Every month take the money and stuff it under the mattress. After 6 months or a year reevaluate. Plus you'll have a little less to borrow. Hope this helps.

new to the SUF community and I have questions. Championship??? how does that work? when does the season start? has it? is it on line? tournament of the month. big fish? is it still a thing?

during the last couple of tournaments i fished my batteries would be drained before the end of the day. not a good feeling wondering if your motor was going to start or not. thank god for "jump boxes"

Depends on the body of water but I enjoy close quarters. Pitchin n fippen. Less than 10 ft of line. if you look at my boat deck tournament morning this is what I will have tied on .

if you have Active target and are experiencing your batteries going dead you need to update your units. i know it doesn't make sense, i have a phone and it doesn't drain the battery if I don't do an update, but your active target will. this was happening to me towards the end of the season last year and hopefully the "update" corrects it.

ohio river smallies are completely different from Lake Erie smallies. they fish completely different.

i don't stray to far on colors. greens, black/blue, browns. sexy shad, chartreuses/white. basics.

watching your videos on youtube. nothing at the moment but i'm sure as I settle in and get caught up ill have tons of questions.

Hi Everyone I am Tom a new member to SUF. Today I had the opportunity to attend my first live (lunch n' learn) and it reassured me that my decision to become a member was the right choice. I've had the opportunity to view some of the past pod cast, quick tips and live sessions and I am excited about the information that is being shared. YES I would like to be considered for a boater position in the angler development program. I like to tell everyone that I am in the end of 3rd year of my 5 year apprenticeship for my new career. its something I want to do for the rest of my life.  I think this opportunity will be the valuable scaffolding that i will need to succeed and develop. A road map/guide to help me focus in the right direction. a mentorship.  and maybe explain why not once but twice my CO put 13-15lbs in the boat behind me while i struggled to put 10lbs in the boat. I'm excited to get this season started as soon as the water softens some here on the north coast/ Lake Erie (North East Ohio) and to answer your question B-Lat "what do we do for 4 months of not fishing?" we replace split rings/ hooks on our baits. 😁
