Nice one ! I decided to fish the shakey yesterday and not put it down until I caught one ! Caught my first few fish on the shakey! It was good I think to just stick with it and build my confidence with it .

Yeah I agree , and will be more comfortable for my son as well . I think if I was actually doing kayak tournaments it would be different.

Good Luck !

Any of you fished in the xtr130 yet ? I have some smaller horse power restricted lakes around me here in western north Carolina and I wanted to either get this boat or a jon boat with like a smaller 25hp or less to fish bream out of with me and my son . Im tall 6’4 280 lbs so I wanted to find something that would be comfortable. The bonus of the kayak is I could start fishing in kayak events too . I have a 20 ft bass boat currently but I can’t take it on the lakes I want to fish .

Hey Christopher , I throw the Dobyns 8ft swimbait rod , 806HSB , when I throw the klash 9 swimbait / glide bait, or a Huddleston trout . I also use that rod for the bigger alamaba rigs . I have 20 lb ccx mono on it now , but I want to eventually put some flouro on it . I’m curious what other people use as well .

Hey just wanted to introduce myself and say Hi! I’m new member of the school and have enjoyed watching the content so far . Looking forward to meeting you all and more future live events !

I live in Western North Carolina and fish these higher elevation lakes , but would like to get down to hartwell, keowee , even lake Russell as well .

Something I’m hoping to learn is how to find fish, or more specifically where to start fishing on a lake. Also what depth water to target during each of the seasonal patterns .

My most success is catching spotted bass schooling on blue back herring out in the middle of 100 ft of water early in the morning . But when that dies down I’m lost .

Thanks for having me !
