First time winter bass fishing and I was trying to practice my cranking techniques and I got this to nibble at it but never take a full bite. I ended up catching it on a 1/4 oz jig. Does anybody have any tips to actually land a bass on crankbaits? I think my mechanics are right but the actual hook set is where I feel im wrong??

Thanks b lat it’s embarrassing to say but I needed a lot of these tips. I’ve just tried to teach myself the basics over time but I’ve learned some funny habits just tryna make it work lol.
