Me and my youngest son went fishing for a little while this evening. Caught this 3 lb 2 oz LM on a fluke in grass beside this dock. Per Brian’s instruction - we were focused on the predominant feature of the lake - grass/weed beds along the bank.
I hung another one that looked to be similar in size but got hung up in the weeds and couldn’t get him out before he got off. We caught a few more but they were smaller.

A couple of 1.75-2lb spotted bass caught on BFS reel and ultralight rod on a Lucky Craft LC 0.5 squarebill. I know that not an "appropriate" crankbait setup but it sure is fun and between yesterday and today I caught probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 25-30 little spots on that exact setup! Most of them were very small - half a pound to 3/4 lb but a few respectable ones mixed in. But they were all a lot of fun on ultralight tackle.Â
I was going to post a video of me catching one of them but it seems the upload video portion isn't working.Â
I don't have this video uploaded to YouTube yet, but I have started a little YouTube channel. If y'all would check it out - I'd appreciate it! I just do it as a hobby for the fun of it. And I'm still learning how to do everything, so don't be too hard on me! But I will gladly accept constructive criticism!Â
