Thanks guys! I noticed the difference when I tied the knots. I even tied the fluorocarbon lead to the braid! It worked out well and caught several bass with no issues!

Me, my brother and several neighborhood friends use to ride our bikes to our local lake to fish for catfish, bass, bluegill and perch. We would fish all day, come home and clean the fish, and I was the cook! I fried so much fish when I was a kid that I could do it with my eyes closed. Those were some of the best times!

I B Lat here is where I am. 2025 was my first year back fishing. I had to start from zero. I fished a couple of lakes consistently in 2025 along with a few other lakes that I had never fished before. I organized my tackle to where I know where my different type lures are, my different type weights for certain rig styles and I have a backpack with all of my plastics. I set the backpack up so that I know where the different type plastics are so I don’t have to open every compartment to find what I’m looking for. For me the organization is all about being able to grab what I need and set my rig up while on the boat. Many times I don’t know how I am going to fish until I get on the lake and determine where I am going to fish. At that point the organization becomes most valuable. I noticed that on the lakes that I fish a lot that I am able to set my rods up and have them on the boat ready to fish when I get to my spot. Because I am still so new I still change plans a lot and set up some rigs while on the boat if I come to an area that challenge me. I only have 6 containers with lures, hooks, weights etc. and 1 backpack with plastics and soft swim baits. Having less helps me not to get to caught up in the lures but keeps me more focused on using what I know works and fishing! Every time I fish a lake I find that I become a little more familiar with what techniques I can use over and over. It’s fun and challenging all at the same time! I love it. The other part of my organization is that I don’t do clutter well so my organization has to make sense for how I fish. Because I fish alone quite a bit, I want my tackle accessible to me but not too in the way or too far away. I want to have as less hazards as possible so that I don’t accidentally fall into the lake. Lol! I’m going to watch the live tonight and see what I can do to improve on my organization from other perspectives.
