Happy Fathers day all Dad's. Mine is going great.
Spending the day getting things ready for my West Point Lake trip, I leave Wednesday. Getting all my tackle back in my boat, Got 12 rods set up to cover every tactic i will be using. From topwater to bottom I got it covered. I consider thursday and Friday practice, and Saturday is Tournament day for the June into July SUF Big Bass challenge. I wanted to not only fish for Largemouth this time, but chase them Spotted bass.
Doing some mods on the baits i got from Doc, The hooks were too light for the blank and would roll to the side when ripping it. Found these and thought i would give them a shot, being thicker should add the right amount of weight. Yea they are Amazon specials but, the eye is aligned correct and they are sharp, not as sharp as some but in the application they will be fine. I do like the bend they have in them, I use EWG worm hooks in that style and have yet to miss a fish on them. anyone have any input on the Dovesun hooks?

Howdy Neighbor, I am down in St Cloud. I fish that type of stuff with a Paddletail swimbait Texas rig weightless and bring it slow as you can across the top.

Got in my baits yesterday Doc T. made for me and I would say it was a raving success, 45 minutes of fishing three bass. Did put a little bigger hooks on them to get them more balanced when ripping it thru the water but Doc's work is awesome! Now to decide what I can have him make next... I have Ideas

Waiting for Ray B.

Going to be another great day on Lake Toho'

EDIT, Pics added

Yes it was a good day on Toho, Ray got 12, I got 2. Ray was focused on big worms (I will let Ray make his comments on the Big Worms)while I focused on some old school Lake Toho tactics. And they worked because I did get big fish. Always a good time on the water with Ray.

Another great day on the water with Ray B. we went to a lake that as B-Lat would say "It SUUUUUUUCKKKSSS" Even Fishy places held nothing. But as always any day fishing with Ray is a good day. Ray grabbed 2 on his Jerkbait. Added the lake to the Do Not Fish list. Had good conversation as always, Keeping Mack T.at the forefront. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Brother.

Sorry to hear that Mack, prayers for you.

Latest report I got from one guy says DD 22 crank baits, half ounce football head jigs and 10 inch Texas rig worms/ This Will be my first time back to West Point in about 10 months. feel like I am starting over. I will have my West Point Snipers with me.Hit the docks at Highland Marina from about 30 minutes before sun up with Shaky head and jigs, there is a brush pile across from the dock for the cabins, I have caught plenty of fish tossing around that dock so that will be a focus, Water is a little shallower there compared to the Main marina docks that have 12 to 20 ft of water. Hoping for an early morning topwater bite.Deeper lay downs are on the radar also, around the Train Trestle.

Huge shout out and thank you to Doc T. For matching the color in these, Since SPro no longer offers other than a white base. The spotted and largemouth on West Point Lake love this color with the slight yellow tint, think I will call the color West Point Sniper.

If all goes well I will have them before next Wednesday when I leave for West Point Lake for a few days. Still have an open seat Thursday and Friday if anyone wants to join.
