Sucks that I cannot use any fish I catch this weekend in the SUF Bass Challange because I am Fishing/Captain in a Jr and a HS Tournament this weekend on a highly limited access very low pressure lake here in Florida, I have wanted to fish this lake for over 50 years and never could gain entry.
I have searched and there are no TOPO maps for this specific lake, Likely post Spawn so first order is to try and locate panfish beds with sidescan, Other areas I have identified, Likely hit those in order, unless other boats are on them, likely about 30 boats on this small lake, if all are taken will start looking for deeper transitions, That worked on another lake Friday. The areas are:
1. Mouth of a small canal entering the lake, That is working on nearby lakes.
2. Possible points extending into the lake.
3. That shoreline is a transition from a marsh area into the lake.
4. The only 2 docks on the lake.
The lake has a lot of Cypress around it (Mack would be in heaven) along with other unknown vegetation.
And starting lure selections
1. Shaky Head
2. Small shad bait
3. Chatterbait
4. Carolina Rig
5. Glide bait
With as little information I have I feel this will be a solid plan, I will adjust for Sunday from what I learn on Saturday.
Any thoughts to what may be better options for me, Always open to suggestions.

First fish caught at 6:47 this morning, 2nd pic is the same fish caught 20 yards north at 6:55, I know it is the same fish because it was still bleeding on the right side, the hook stuck one of her gills the first time I caught her, So much for fish that get caught do not eat for a day or 2.

Got my first double yesterday, Using the things I learned at the retreat I Spot locked about 50ft off a point at 7am, stayed right there until I left the lake at 10am, had landed over 20 bass. all on Shaky head and the Red Eye Shad in the pic. Most were caught off the point in an area that drops to 8-12 ft, Best day I ever had on that lake prior was 4 bass

Lake Toho did not disappoint this morning. Did not get to fish as long as I wanted wind is starting to pick up and was not able to fish the areas that I was focusing on today. Hydrilla in 6 to 8 ft of water. Started out Carolina rig 30 minutes nothing switch to shaky Head 30 minutes nothing decided to start throwing a rattle trap bingo. Ended the day with four this was the largest.

Finally able to get on the lake for a few hours this morning and put too use what I learned from the in person event. I was late getting on the water thanks to over sleeping and the Karen blocking the non ethanol pump while she chatted on her phone for almost 20 minutes.
Finally on the water at 8, traveled to a point identified on my mapping I could see small baitfish near the surface and from the first cast it was on, 6 bass (Only got pics of 3) 2 on shaky head, and 2 on the Rockin Shad and 2 on the Action tail shad, then the bass just disappeared about 9:15 and the Crappie moved in. Caught about 10 crappie and one long nose gar, all on the action tail shad.
I have fished that point may times with very limited success but by changing up my tactics it showd that spot does hold post spawn bass as I had suspected. Thanks B-Lat
I did try to get Video of the Space X Launch this morning but cloud cover had it blocked.

Hello all, Any Florida members (Or Members that want to travel) that have a boat and would be willing to Captain for the Students Angling for Success tournament hosted by Osceola Anglers High School fishing club on May 16th we are in dire need of Captains. The lake we will be fishing is Lake X in St Cloud, This is the lake that was used by Mercury for testing and has little to no pressure. (I believe Captains are allowed to fish also as a Captains tournament) If you are willing to help out Please contact Lamar Chisholm at  407.908.9587
The lake address is 7975 Old Melbourne Hwy, St Cloud, FL 34771
Lake Breakdown is in the comments. I used Grok AI and from personal local knowledge it is spot on.

Back home safe and sound in Central Florida, Boat goes in tomorrow for 100 hour service and I will be putting into practice all I learned this weekend, Adding that information to what I know patterns are maybe it will help me get on the bigs more. Had a great time, to all I met and spoke with thank you for making me feel welcome. If anyone will be in Central Florida and want to get on the water, I am retired and available. Would be more than happy to take any of you on the local lakes. Pic just for attention. That was several years ago, Only a 9, still 4 pounds off my biggest.

Be safe out there on Hartwell this morning as the front pushes thru, earlier than previous forcasts predicted. Changing conditions, feast or famine. Will it slow the fish or fire them up?

I want to thank everyone who was at the Live event today. I felt welcome from the time I arrived. Tight lines to everyone. I hope to find a usable ramp in the morning to get my boat in close to where we are stayin. The ramp I thought I found runs out of concrete about 15 to 20 ft before the waterline.

If any of you are headed to Central Florida and need a brain to pic please feel free to contact me.
