Sucks that I cannot use any fish I catch this weekend in the SUF Bass Challange because I am Fishing/Captain in a Jr and a HS Tournament this weekend on a highly limited access very low pressure lake here in Florida, I have wanted to fish this lake for over 50 years and never could gain entry.
I have searched and there are no TOPO maps for this specific lake, Likely post Spawn so first order is to try and locate panfish beds with sidescan, Other areas I have identified, Likely hit those in order, unless other boats are on them, likely about 30 boats on this small lake, if all are taken will start looking for deeper transitions, That worked on another lake Friday. The areas are:
1. Mouth of a small canal entering the lake, That is working on nearby lakes.
2. Possible points extending into the lake.
3. That shoreline is a transition from a marsh area into the lake.
4. The only 2 docks on the lake.
The lake has a lot of Cypress around it (Mack would be in heaven) along with other unknown vegetation.
And starting lure selections
1. Shaky Head
2. Small shad bait
3. Chatterbait
4. Carolina Rig
5. Glide bait
With as little information I have I feel this will be a solid plan, I will adjust for Sunday from what I learn on Saturday.
Any thoughts to what may be better options for me, Always open to suggestions.

Great Class Brian. Hope it helps me this weekend fishing an unmapped lake and zero knowledge of lake structure, bottom consistancy but After tonight I believe the best starting point is to slow scan until I find the Bream/Bluegill beds.

Destiny Siguenza In one spot i fish there is an 8 footer that use to follow me in my dads old boat until I would catch a crappie and toss it to him, Seems he learned that from my dad doing it for years and he knew the boat.

Something about that Red eye triggers them more than any of the non red eyes

What will the topic be?

I have a tourney this weekend as Captain for HS kids but I get to fish, Going to try something a little crazy, Gremlin on a 1/4 oz SMH, Hope the Florida bass in that lake get aggressive with something they have never seen, Limited access lake with little to no pressure.

I've caught a few with the green pumpkin fatties but they Hammer a stick bait made by bitters in the color Toho which is a really hot color down here in Central Florida

Been using a stick bait on a SMH jighead and loading up.
