Anyone else chasing river smallies this spring? 

Smallmouth caught while practicing for tournament this weekend. Hope I can find her again and she bites this weekend.

If it was only a bass...

Day 1 at Kentucky lake turned out ok in spite of the challenging weather.

Caught 30 bass this week on the Neko rig. All on the BLat sick stick. Floating trick worm, bama bug.

Spent the weekend fishing at Buggs  Island. Spent a lot of the time using plastic swimbaits. Caught stripers, crappie, white bass, catfish and largemouth bass. Rained mostly Saturday was miserable with rain on Sunday. Fish don’t care and do bite in the rain. 😱  

When the man says throw at the dock when it has a double post, he’s not wrong.  

Finesse swimbait time at Buggs Island on the Virginia/North Carolina border. 

Got out early this morning and picked up one on a popper. 

Practiced fishing the 3 inch minnowz on a jig head and caught two today. I’m getting better at it. Looking to do some more this weekend. 😀🎣
