Got some salt water work in today with my dad.
There’s one area of a lake I frequent where I learned to not throw baits that make contact with the bottom. I didn’t know what was there, but through trial and error I knew I’d get hung or loose a lure if I threw a Texas rig over there. I assumed it was a gnarly stump or something, but today I finally got some answers 😂 this side scan thing is truly a gift!
Just wanted to give you all something for your fridge to stand out next to all of your other basic greeting cards from the rest of your family and friends!
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays SUF Family!
Currently on the phone with DNR to report a new species. This explains all the popped floats and paddle boards reported by local lake residents.
Don’t sleep on merthiolate in the fall/winter.
Y'all smell a skunk?!?! Not up in here!!! Nice 1.5 lbs. Hit him with a "Drop Kick" from the top rope! Haha! Had a couple of bites, but got a little to over zealous with the hooksets.
Cold day with the high of 45 degrees and the water temp 47 degrees. Threw a rattle trap over rocky points in less than 10 feet. Caught two with the lunker over 4lbs. Funny, didn’t seem so cold then 😀.

As Promised here is the first fish on the Workhorse today. Caught four in total from the back of my buddy’s boat. Rod looks & feels great, (Even though gloves were a must all day.) Could feel the bites well and the bottom. Can’t complain when your first fish on a new rod is 2lbs and some change.
Thanks again sir for building it! Will get another when I have another one break. Send thanks again to your wife again in the shipping department.
Couldn’t stand it so I got out and walked the bank. Jordan Lake caught this little guy on a 1/8 ounce plastic craw
Brian Barde and Kevin Skovenski ... Single digits!!!???!!! No wonder Kevin has come to the SUF championships the past 2 years with fresh new babies! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
