I just did a mini workshop on why you may be struggling with catching bass right now.
Good morning all,
I’ve done some research on Bass forage in Florida and it seems that golden shinner is the preferred option. So I dove in to that and it looks like they can see the golden hue. So my question is when would I choose a color/ bait that wouldn’t reflect a shiner? I know fl is a June bug/black and blue traditional color options. I guess I want to know why if shiners are the number one forage option why throw something different?
Thanks in advance
BFL Entry - Lake Okeechobee : I just registered for the first event in the Gator division for MLF 2026. I had to enter as a boater without a co-angler. Here's to the 2026 season!
I’m about to shoot a workshop this morning. Look out for it later today.
Hey guys with the holidays coming up I won't be able to pay my suf subscription this month spent a majority of my check on Christmas gifts but I'll definitely renew in January. If it's ok can I stay in the Facebook group?
For Tron:
In the hockey community, placing a hockey stick on a porch with a light on is a tradition called “sticks out” to honor a player that has passed away. Symbolizes the player may need the stick for a new journey with the light guiding their way. This fishing rod is for Tron and his new journey.
I met Tron at the first retreat we had on Lake Hartwell in 2023. We ended up sitting next to each other and I was wondering who is this guy cracking all these jokes? He was full of one liners as we sat through class watching Bobby Barrett set the hook and catch 12lbers in the classroom. Needless to say we exchanged numbers and were friends ever since. I will certainly miss my friend.
Won 1st place in Greg Blanchards November monthlong tournament...1st place out of 19 anglers... I'll take that.! Won a bunch of tackle too.!
If any of you have any pictures or videos with our friend Tron please post them in honor of him this week. I’m suspending all workshops and lives to pay respects to him this week.
Condolences for Tron Foster
I got to spend some time on Lake Norman this weekend while I was back home for Thanksgiving break.
