Woot woot! Finally got out on the water today. Took a week off for son's fall break and after a few days of much needed family time, "sleep debt" collections, dealing with \ helping dad getting situated into his assisted living facility, cleaning house, and putting my jon boat back together. My son and I took a few hours to hit the water.... 🙄🙄 Apparently my to-do list will continue tomorrow 🙄🙄... But I claimed Tuesday and will be back on the water again!
Here’s the Q&A for this Sunday if you missed it. The questions y’all dropped this weekend where the best I’ve had since I’ve started. So of them are so good that I need to make a entire video about them.
How Important is Fishing Li...
Did a little better today almost caught a limit but most where shorts, flippin docs and throwing a jerk bait in the creeks. I definitely could hear sound bites from SUF schools in depths playing out in my head while on the water.Â
Had couple hours to fish and got this 7lb 8 oz head on jerk bait.
There’s a first for everything, and I drew the last chip….

Man I know this feeling all to well costed me a high school classic
Question.
I have been using the lunkerhunt 1/2oz spinnerbait for about four weeks now. I've noticed that if I put a trailer on it the bait Swims sideways regardless of how fast I retrieve the bait. Is this a design issue or am I doing something wrong?
P.s. it works fine on war eagle and other spinnerbaits i have.
I have noticed that quite a few successful tournament anglers have stories about fishing local tournaments early in their journey to the higher levels of tournaments. I never fished a tournament on any level until this year. I did do a lot of fishing with various family and friends growing up, but honestly a small percentage of which was bass fishing.
So, my question is this.Â
Am I at a disadvantage in my pursuit to be competitive at the highest levels of bass fishing? At my age I feel like I don't have the time to slowly build the expertise.
It was tough today. Very windy and muddy water. So, I chose to try pushing up in some creeks. I caught 1 dink on some flooded timber in about 6 feet of water and miss a bite. With the muddy water it was tough to locate bait. I tried looking out in the main lake but no luck.Â
