As far as bass fishing I would say a Texas rig senior. And the ole shaky head is the go to for new fishermen you can boince it or drag it across the bottom. An easy technique. And a spinner bait. Just throw and reel works for it in the basic sense. And you can throw all of them on a Zebco 33 or a spinning reel and you don’t have to contest with digging bird nest out. I think that is the three baits that are productive and easy to work. It’s what got most of us started. A brand new fisherman would have the most fun with live bait. If you can get a new fisherman or woman to start catching shell crackers and big knot headed bluegill. They will almost be instantly addicted to fishing!

A chatter rooster tail that’s freaking genius! Up until 5 or 6 years ago that and a spinner bait was the extent of my lure selection lol.
