Sometimes when you only have two hours to sunset it is worth getting out there to catch some nice ones.
When you go fishing and see this makes me wonder if fishing is going to turn bad..
St Lawrence River 4 pounder! SUF member, Jamie McDonnell , suggested I use a spybait and it worked.
Thank you Jamie
Let’s be honest. Some bank fishing kinda sucks a little bit. Especially farm ponds where they’ve been ruined by not harvesting enough fish. Sometimes that’s all we have! There’s still a way to make it a challenging. There’s still a way to break the water down. There’s still a way to do it BETTER.
What happens to a farm pond in the fall? Have you listened to the last live class yet? All of those principles apply to bank fishing as well!
Today I’m using the key fall time transitions that we talked about in the live to catch bass EVEN IN A FARM POND.
There’s no rules to this. Only suggestions. Hunted down a nice hybrid fishing eddies adjacent to white water on the river. The water was dirty so I chose a chatterbait. Not your typical “striped bass family” of baits. Predators just need to “see” the presentation. Sometimes vibration helps. . Wading is a form of bank fishing and can be extremely productive right now. If you’ve got hybrids around you go give em a shot. They’re heating up while the other black bass species can be difficult this time of the year. This almost 22” 4 1/2 pounder was a pb for me. Man do they fight! Especially in the current. Tight lines! 🎣
What’s up everyone! I got inspired by the last YouTube video the B-Lat put out about looking over the average Joe fishing the bank. And I want to know if anyone can tell me a good camera suitable for making some content about bank fishing?
Epic day on the St. Lawrence River today. BLat speaks the truth and I listened! Brian did a St Lawrence River breakdown with me on Friday and gave me specific things to look for along with techniques. Today, I found islands and shoals that were in strong current. Power fished with crankbaits and caught 10 quality smallmouth fish. Smashed my personal best twice with the largest at 5lbs 4oz. Nothing smaller than 3lbs all day.
Thank you Brian for taking the time to share your knowledge with me and helping me be a successful angler. 😀🐟👍🎣
