This is my favorite day to be in the app. This is why!
Sunday solo derby..
North Texas lake still in the mid 70s. Has already gone through the turn over about 2 wks ago which was late for us. All fish were caught up shallow against rip rap leading into a marina. Avg depth of catch was 5ish ft. I was alternating between a 1.5 square bill, chartreuse with blk back and a PBJ 3/8 ball head jig. The square bill was worked parallel to the rip rap or coming off at a shallow angle. The jig was fliped in holes in the rip rap and hopped slowly back to the boat... Only down side was losing a blade in the prop 😔.. Hope this helps with your next adventure.
Here’s the Q&A for this Sunday if you missed it. The questions y’all dropped this weekend where the best I’ve had since I’ve started. So of them are so good that I need to make a entire video about them.

There’s a first for everything, and I drew the last chip….
My apologies earlier I didn’t pay attention and posted a pic of 2 lber I caught day before yesterday…. lol I’m surprised nobody commented . It should have been the one one the left (I had livewell issue unfortunately and this beautiful girl didn’t make it ) so we made the best of it enjoying fish taco’s that night. The one on right I caught on Logan Martin north of goat island on an offshore roadbed that crosses the main channel from the island all way across main channel to a point about 1000 yards away. Their is 2 sections of this roadbed you can find a couple storm drain pipe culverts and ditch line that gain 5-7’ depth compared to majority of the roadbed providing added bottom features / cover and an ambush area for feeding. I was fishing a jerkbait & swim jig fish were suspended from 4-5’ off bottom to as high as 12-14 water depth average about 27-28’. With best five on these two sections of roadbed yielding bag approximately 22.5-23lbs decent fall day on the Coosa.
Well if the fishing sucks, there is always the constant air show you get in Madison. Benefits of living next to an air force base.
