At the risk of asking a dumb question. Can cold temperatures damage fishing gear like reels rod and line?

Alright when the high is -8 it’s time I need to start looking at moving down south for the winter.
Not really a boat build per say. My kayak has been referred to as a floating UFO after dark. I'll be adding electronics before long.
Was Able to get out this weekend on Lake Norman. Decide to throw a crankbait after watching the workshop. Caught 7 spots this was the biggest one.
Had to go defend the 2024 ACBM title with a dub to start year.
I tried to catch them deep, but it wasn’t happening for me. Every fish came on a Green Pumpkin Shakey in 5-10 ft of water near lay downs.
Weather was 37° with off and on rain ☔️. Not the biggest field because of it but a win is a win. Took home the big fish pot as well.
