Kevin asked about Halloween plans... I worked the school then the road... I also had to keep reminding myself I have diabetes so I can't jump out and tell little kids all of their tootsie rolls and Tootsie roll related candies are all poisonous and I need to seize them for their safety.
My wife and girls said they wanted some crappie for dinner.... don't tempt me to a good time! You know I can't say NO! Stay tuned for these slabs

It took me 20 years of fishing trips to Canada catch a 40 plus inch northern.
I took a (3) day trip to the Northwest Territories expecting to catch a 40ā every catch.
A cold front moved in before we arrivedā¦the fish were tight lipped.
On the last day I used a fly from NC and a Hawaiian fly casting bomber on a whim the pike exploded out of the water like a tarpon.
My daughter had a blast.. ready to get a boat and learn how to catch bass on Hartwell.
I'm a little lagged in posting a results update from the Toyota Bonus Bucks tournament I got to fish this past weekend.Ā
Lake Guntersville showed why it has the legendary status for big fish.Ā Unfortunately, we didn't get enough of the big ones to finish in the money. We did finish 88th out of 230 boats, so that's pretty good for a couple of good ole boys. However, the weekend was a HUGE success IMHO. I got to spend the weekend fishing a bucket list lake with my brother and we caught a respectable number of fish.Ā We also got to meet so very cool Pro anglers and a great group of people. It was a great event overall and I would gladly do it again if I get the chance.
I can add all the gory fishing detail if anyone is interested.
