Just a quick observation after looking through the King of the Ring tournament entries…
First off—some seriously impressive fish! Huge shoutout to everyone out there grinding and getting after it.
That said, I couldn’t help but notice quite a few entries that, if judged strictly by the rules, would’ve faced some serious deductions—open mouths, bad hand placement, poor measuring angles, stretched tails, you name it.
This isn’t about calling anyone out personally, it’s about keeping things fair and consistent across the board.
Might be time for a refresher class or quick tutorial on proper fish measurement. Let’s make sure everyone’s on the same page moving forward. A lot of great catches are at risk of being questioned—or worse, disqualified—because of things that are easily avoidable.
Let’s raise the bar, not the drama. 🎣💪

Crankbait Confession 🎣
I fish mostly 3–8 ft and still feel like I’m guessing brands and reeling with my eyes closed. Crankbaits and squarebills? I’m basically casting and hoping the bass are feeling generous.
So help me out:
Go-to for stained water? Clear water?
Rattles or ninja-silent?
Favorite color that actually works, not just looks pretty on the peg?
I’m rewatching the crankbait series, trying to avoid becoming a full-time worm dragger. 😂

Hey Just curious if anyone happened to have a 36 volt trolling motor for a decent price. I had to sell my minnkota ulterra due to a family emergency last month and I havent been able to fish. Thanks in advance.
I was just out there minding my business dragging a jig and this happened, watch the rod tip.
One of the many things I love about fishing meeting new people that share the same passion about it as you. Sometimes you meet your newest fishing buddy or you share info with someone that’s never fished that lake before. It’s more than just fishing it’s the memories the moments of quite in the wee early morning hours or sunrises/sunsets. The getting outdoors and just enjoying the simple things listening to the wildlife and letting the things in life that may be a burden gone for that moment, cause in those moments nothing but enjoying nature and trying to solve the puzzle are all that matter.
Does anyone have a garmin force trolling motor? Im running into an issue, when I use my foot pedal to adjust the speed, the LED indicators light up on the trolling motor but disappear which then im unable to get any prop spin. Garmin is going to replace it, but if its something I can fix id much rather fix it instead of being off the water for 2+ weeks
