Tom was the right person for the SUF trip. Fishing was actually a little tougher than I expected. This was a classic example of bass nkt reacting to weather the way we do. It’s been low key hot. The water is in mid 50s. The daffodils are flowering and the dogwoods look Snow White. However the bass have not yet received the letter about spring. We had to actually slow down and crawl swimbait today. CRAAAAWWWWLLLL! We stayed mostly on main lake points fishing 10-20ft. The moral of this king post is remember the bass live in a insulated environment. Everything is delayed for them. They do not react at the same time or the same way that humans do to weather changes.

Tom and I just got to the water. Fishing is not as good as I expected but we are catching some.

I know it sound pretty complicated but I just look at fishing reports, tournament results or any kind of footage that I can find on the lakes on YouTube
