William Hager you’re right it is tuff. I’ve had more success by using the spearpoint flipping hook. It seems to keep them pegged on. Also using 50lb braid helps cut through pads.

William Hager do you feel it’s the hook are they spitting it? Or are they getting wrapped up around the stems and come off?

I set myself up to let the wind blow me into those. Just make sure you can get out.
