Hey Charlie, I use to feel the same way. For boating tips just remember the larger vessel typically always has the right of way, when going into a channel know what side of the red and green markers you need to be on and don’t run over any people in the water. After you spend some time on the water the feeling of “getting in the way” goes away. For trolling motors I agree there are no good deep how to videos out there. I recently switched from a 2004 MinnKota power drive to a Lowrance Ghost. HUGE DIFFERENCE! Really just spending time on the water with it helped learn how to use it. I also found watching pros just using their trolling motors helped me understand. Not necessarily a “how to” trolling motor video but just watching them fish and watching them use their trolling motor. Hopefully this was helpful.

Yeah those mistakes haunt us. But in the end it will make you a better prepared fisherman for next time.
