I found these lure wraps https://amzn.to/4aoEpMA to be really useful when I put my rods away in my rod locker to keep trebles from hooking my rod sleeves or line. Also a gquality neoprene rod sleeves tend to not get hooked deeply.

The lake doesn't care about your last cast — it only rewards the next one. Obstacles are just the water redirecting you to the opportunities where the fish actually are.

I highly encourage you to look up - Reticular Activating System (RAS)

Your Brain is Your Fish Finder

It shows you what you tell it to look for. You can re-program it.

Focus on obstacles — dead water, blown patterns, bad breaks — and that's all you'll see. Your screen fills with noise.

Focus on opportunity — current changes, bait movement, what the water is telling you — and your brain highlights every opening.

Same lake. Same conditions. Different filter.

Here's the kicker: the more you run one pattern, the faster your brain defaults to it. Dwell on problems and you're training yourself to find more problems. Hunt for opportunity and you wire yourself to spot it without thinking.

You're not just choosing your mood. You're choosing what your brain shows you tomorrow.
