That first blanket of snow hits different when you're a bass fisherman - it's nature's way of saying it's time to stow the boat and start building some rods, building a new rod building station, reel maintenance and organizing tackle. Happy Thanksgiving to all the community members!!

I was able to get out this afternoon and found them most likely on their winter structure up here in the NE - a bit deeper - water temp 44ish.

WOW, one heck of an afternoon. 18 fish total, with these three lunkers. I was the only one on the lake again! I used to hate fall fishing... All of these were on deep structure, I assume their winter homes. Thanks for letting me share the pics.

It's much colder today! One of the best parts of Fall fishing is the empty boat ramps. The bad part is they start lower lakes to the point that getting a boat into those ramps starts getting tricky. I managed to get out there for a couple of hours. Jigs still work in the later Fall.
