Beautiful fish

Yes, Jig fish are great, and I am thrilled you got some bites! ;-) I will fish a 3/8 oz when I am fishing really shallow with soft bottom. I use almost exclusively 1/2 oz. I very much dislike the Level Rod NGX hook keep.;-) I would love to do some saltwater fishing.

Had a fun day today fishing in our club tournament on Saratoga Lake. I have not fished there in about a year. Ended up getting third. I was junk fishing with a 3/8 Jewel Bait jig with Berkley Chigger Craw using my 7' MH Fast rod on docks, weeds, and lily pads. Used ZMan 1/2 oz Blue gill spinner bait with slim Keitech green pumpkin paddle tail for a couple of undersized ones and a couple of pickerel. I was also fishing with a senko on the docks and caught one. I caught most of them very shallow. I had two good ones on, and I horsed them too much; they may have gotten me into 2nd or 1st. It is actually nice to turn off FFS and just focus on the visual stuff.
