Sorry to hear that. I hope it is a quick recovery.

This is from a few years ago. It is me and my son. It is an underwater video of a smallmouth finding and eating a crawfish while we were snorkeling at Lake George with super clear water. It was not afraid of us; he was using us as his concierge lunch provider. notice all the things BLat talked about. They are made to eat those crawdads.  https://youtu.be/WItHdw0_7B8

Well, Champlain delivered!!! What a crazy week. Two weekends ago, I was in northern Champlain and hit the reef of destruction, then I fished with a local hammer in BFL. This past weekend, I ended up SC at Falcon - they are GREAT!!! - Did an in-person live with BLat. I drove back to MA and got a new lower unit at 6 PM on Friday. Then woke up at 2:30 AM to drive to southern Champlain to fish in my club tournament. I came in second with the lunker smallmouth. Champlain certainly made memories this year.

I am in the top 5 at the moment, and it will be difficult to hold on to it with those southern boys. Good luck, everyone, and most importantly, have fun and learn from every trip!!

The damage honestly had me thinking my BFL season was over, but Falcon Bass Boats worked their magic.

The finished product - absolutely perfect!

Stephen, Tim, and Lisa at FalconBassBoats are great. The attention to detail, speed and craftsmanship is incredible. From that devastating accident to this pristine finish... I'm blown away. They are truly AWESOME People!!

The real lesson: It's not about avoiding the rocks, it's about having the right people in your corner when you hit them. Still try to avoid those rocks...

I am hoping to get into a Champlain tournament tomorrow morning if my lower unit is installed today, then Champlain can pay me back with some fish! .
