It was and she did not fight as hard as I expected but still you knew it was a big one. <Shameless plug> The BardeRodz Slick Stick handled it well</Shameless plug> I actually do love that Slick Stick. Has anyone broke 6lbs on the smallmouth side?

Build Competence in 3 baits: top of water column, middle of water column and bottom contact. Have at least one of them be a power fishing bait and a finesse. One bait can do both. Learn that and then MOST importantly spend most of your time finding where the fish are. BLat has tons of videos in the app to help you. Then spend all of your time on the mental game Confidence! Some example videos, search for more. https://sufschool.com/programs/collection-springtopwater https://sufschool.com/programs/how-to-build-confidence-in-fishing https://sufschool.com/programs/collection-ryenkhoqkis
