A volcanic eruption that produced a reef milliseconds before I passed over it, and my lower unit met it with a vengeance. ;-) Or it could have been there for millions of years, and I never drove this new water to me, and I hit the reef. 🤷‍♂️

Thanks, Ken! We made the most of the day, and I had the chance to fish with Tom LaVictoire Jr., a local Champlain Hammer. I had a GREAT day fishing and learning from him; he's a great guy and fisherman! Even better, he was fishing with just one lure—a JIG! I was smiling ear to ear when I heard that. What did I learn? KISS—Keep It Simple Stupid—stop making fishing complicated, grab that jig, and go where the fish are. He got us on some fish within the first hour. I had 5 bass quickly, which is what I needed to earn points for the Regional. I'm currently sitting in 40th place in points. Then he went to work to put together a 19 lb bag. Always remember, focus on the positive and positivity will come back to you.
