Having a job that gets in the way of my fishing time. LOL

I got out for 3 hours. I could not find them. I found a couple of bait balls and tossed hair jig, drop shot, jerk bait. I did not see any game fish on FFS. Water temp 40-44. Next weekend I am going to try different depths and idle a bit more looking for structure and bait. What should I do?

It would be nearly impossible to enforce a ban on FFS. I agree, creel limits would be a better option.

That particular lake is just largemouth. Two other lakes down the road are smallmouth lakes.
