The ice is finally gone! Here is the first largemouth of 2024 from the boat on a red crawfish rattle trap. I worked on the motor this winter, and it ran great! It was 45 degrees water.

Brian Latimer, when are you coming ice fishing with me? No fishing this weekend. Ice is starting to break up on some of the lakes. One guy fall through the ice Saturday and the fire department had to rescue him.

I witnessed massive crappie hauls on one of the ponds near me this summer. They cleaned them at the dock every week and left the carcasses. How many is too many?
