I have not tried to flip in heavy grass. Do you want a heavy punching weight to go straight through the grass clumps or just heavy enough to slowly go through the grass?

Never tried it but would like to try it one day. 

I know a couple of friends that don’t like tournaments on the Potomac River in the summer that have full moons. Their theory is with clear skies and full moon the bass feed at night.
