I want to try to flip the heavily matted grass on the Potomac River when we get to July and August.  I hear that some use  a heavy weight like an ounce or ounce and half on their soft plastics. I plan on using the gremlins, goats and crawz.  So is the theory you want the heavy presentation to bust thru the grass straight to the bottom and not get hung up? Why wouldn’t you want to slowly work the bait thru the grass? Are you only looking for an reaction bite?

I have been known to get on my knees when no one is looking.  👁️

Swimjig and green pumpkin plastic worm. Drop shot and Ned rig if the bite is tough.
