In the tidal Potomac River, I got a small boat that can get way back in the creek during low tide. Lily pads on both sides that are ideal for pitching gremlins and occasionally get fish. While fishing bass will occasionally smash something in the middle of the creek channel. The creek channel is 3-4 feet deep with a murky bottom with stained water. The creek is 20 to 50 feet wide. Is it worth it to fish the creek channel rather than the outside lily pad edges on low tide this time of the year?

Thanks for confirming what I was thinking.

Not the targeted species but the Potomac River channel cats love the Gremlin.

Got on the Potomac River one day this weekend and caught one nice bass on a shallow running crankbait in the grass.

Yep. Summer is fast approaching in Virginia. I struggle to catch 12 inch fish in July and August on the Potomac River. Thinking about staying in the pool during those months. 😓🥵

I like to throw the whopper plopper , spook and megabass popmax. On the Potomac River the Horny Toad gets a lot of bites.

I had the same problem all month but I was able to register last night for the summer tournament.

I feel like I need to pay attention to the diameter of the line since the fluorocarbon line is getting so thin. You can’t just go by whether it’s 12 or 15 pound line anymore.
