Every year i tell myself that there isn’t any big ones left. And every year i catch one this time of year. It only about a 2 acre pond so i don’t know where they hide

I hear anglers talk about jerk baits but that’s one bite that I’ve never been able to figure out. What conditions make you pick up a jerk bait over others? Also what types do you prefer etc. suspending, sinking, or others?
