What a mess :(

Hope everyone is staying safe, looks like there's going to be weeks of some hard work ahead!

I should state also that rod, reel, and line setup could be an issue also, but if you got that part figured out, go after making that frog better!

One thing I have learned is that all frogs are not created equal! I'd say if you are getting them to bite but are having trouble sticking them... on the frogs that you are able to trim the skirt "legs" on, try playing around with the length of them. Personally, I trim those legs to about 1.5 inches from the base of the frog. In my experience, when I miss a frog bite, I start trimming those legs! One more adjustment I do, is put a small amount of weight in the frog body, I use nail weights... you don't need much, just enough to keep the butt end of the frog down in the water a bit more than a stock frog. Try that out once! Good luck

Thanks for your input Mack. I wasn't that nice to my rig the first couple years I had it. By the time I put something on to protect that area it was to late and the product I used (which was a keel guard from one objective) I wore through in a short period of time. I am thinking the kydex patch job is what I am going to go with. BLAT turned me on to a gator guard product so I am going to research that next.

Thanks, I have seen the name of that product in my research, don't know much about it, I like the idea that it's sandable, I'll take more of a deep dive at it!

Thanks for the link I will watch it on my lunch break, I was thinking the kydex fix is the way to do it, but that bed liner idea for some reason is making my mind ponder over how to do that! That maybe a great option too, never thought of that. I wounder if that stuff holds to plastic?

Great idea I'd say!  That would be cool.

I know this might have been a goof up of some sort but I think some stuff you went over was important honestly.  I took a shooting class awhile back and we actually talked about food breaks for people that may have blood sugar issue related things.  Thought about when you talked about nibbling on stuff during the day in the response video, that really is some good advice!
