I may be in for one of those. That was a great idea. I have two of those Blat rods and fully enjoy them, best spinning rod I have been able to fish with. Excited to see what you come up with!

Wow, what a fish!

A place called Devil's Lake in a state park in Sauk county here in Wis.  I think its one of the only places in the state that they stock these in.  Don't quote me on that, I may be wrong about it being the only place, but that's what I have been told by some people I have talked to.  Pretty cool fish.  Been doing some homework as to how to target them now that I know they are in there!

I have always known this as being called a flathead. Doing a quick search, the name you gave is also correct I believe, same fish. 2 years ago I caught one bigger in the same lake, it was a blast for sure!

Kevin is right, I actually, over the last week or so watched two different pro fisherman/youtuber people do that procedure. I haven't done it but I am going to watch those over again after seeing that.. Thanks :( Hope that turned out ok.
