OK, I’ll say it, you should go fishing!

46° relative heat wave! I’m hitched up and headed out! Armed with this MR6 and high hopes…

If money we’re no object, I’d be hanging an unbaited hook off of the stern of my live-aboard yacht somewhere only mama and I know about, but that feels like a different community thread…

Those zip line retractor jobbies are key…I need them for the tv remote, car keys, cell phone….

👆🏻💯 me too Ricky!

When I left the professional world a few years ago to focus my attention on the care of my disabled adult son, I was left without any real intellectual challenges. As you’re all no doubt acutely aware, there’s a problem to solve under every lily pad, rock and dock, and behind every tree. Bass, crappie, bluegill, trout and redfish and the rest have personalities as varied as any of my fellow airmen or coworkers did, but I still find that fish are fish in much the same way people are people!

Now, in my new life as a full time care giver, my opportunities for fishing are limited and precious, so the motivation is easy to find. This sport has loved me since birth, and I’ll always love it back!!!

And oh yeah…Adversity is Dope!!!

I’m trolling upriver against an outgoing king tide on the Ashley river against 10-12 mph of wind. I’m skipping docks for redfish when I get the dreaded but common wind knot in the braid…the time for the current and wind to get the braid into the trolling motor prop is too short too measure. Brian would describe my language as a few “Samuel L. Jackson’s!” And I’m not even using FFS…yeah man, it’s a lot harder than it looks!

Right? My Granddaddy wouldn’t have stood for any ugly talkin’ about the ugly stuck either LOL
