I live near a river and our neighborhood dock is about 8 miles upriver from the Atlantic. I catch plentiful reds, trout and flounder here. I’m surprised how close to the freshwater line they go. I’ve also seen big reds swim by in my local river fed bass pond. I say try it out where you are. Z-Man diezel minnowz 4” in slam shady and new penny colors, as well as salty ned shrimpz and prawn starz are the hot baits here right now.

Obvious, right? Do we want bigger weights at the expense of having to watch FFS fishing? In other pro sports, e.g. golf and baseball, there are controls on equipment to maintain sanity, why not fishing.
