Old school angler still learning after 50 years. Glad to be a part of the SUF Community and help any way I can.

Truthfully it didn’t hurt. No sense in getting upset as it wouldn’t help. Just chalk it up to something that could happen to anyone not familiar or paying attention. Much worse things can happen on the water. I’m just glad to have experienced in a low stakes environment where I can share this tidbit of caution.

Learn from this: We fished a private tournament today. Multiple large fish were caught. A 7lb’er won the pot. Here is the lesson learned. When a co-angler, who fishes a lot of BFL’s, opens the livewell on the way to weigh in, don’t let a 5lb fish jacked up on G-Juice jump out and escape over the transom. As the boater I just shook my head and giggled to myself. As Brian mentioned in the “keep your fish alive” session… leave the livewell closed. Still had a fun day and stacked the experience ladder further.

I tried to tune in last night. Was coming off the water in the swamp with minimal cell signal. I did get to see Tron was on before signal died. Glad I can watch this now.

Final two nights of the Younder Classic and the Kindlewood Cares tournament and this 5 pounder shows up at the end of my rod. Was checking out a place nicknamed Jurassic Park in Central/ South Florida. 9 miles down a bumpy dirt road type of deal.

I ran into the same thing at my tournament this Saturday. Zero activity on top in the morning from safe light. I switched to a hard Jerkbait and Squarebill after an hour of traditional morning baits. All I really did was execute the 2nd phase of my process early.

I saw a little cove off the main lake and idled back to escape a wake boat. I noticed a slight water flow. Found this 25.25 inch in 5 feet of water tucked up against a concrete wall.
