Yeah ours are mean they fight so dang hard sometimes even the small ones will trick you into thinking they are big. All because of their attitude 🤣🤣

What part of the PNW? there’s some good smallies around here. They are so aggressive it’s a good time, we have multiple places around here that have both smallmouth and largemouth so you can’t catch one go for the other lol

On lakes I’ve fished alot I don’t spend alot of time graphing unless I’m not finding them where I think they are. If they are not in the normal spots I do good at I’ll start looking for weed edges or cover offshore I’ve found some cool spots most don’t fish cause they will go to the same areas. I fish a big reservoir where I live that requires a lot of graphing for the simple fact it is massive and they move so much that I’ll idle around till I find them and then fish to keep my wasted time down. I sometimes will go out and plan on graphing more than I do and end up just fishing lol something I’m working on is that for sure with more people on the lake that I wanna find spots that just get blasted continually

Here’s a good ol PNW smallie. Not quite time for us to fish yet so I’m stuck looking back on my catches from last season. Something I don’t hear a lot of people fish anymore with forward facing sonar craze is the tube. With the tube head just slightly back from being fully inserted giving it that spiral fall. One of my favorite baits the tube has produced a lot of good fish for me. Anyone else fish a lot of tubes?

About a month away from fishing we’ve been getting hit hard with snow this last month. Out of the negatives supposed to be in upper 40’s next week afraid Mother Nature is gonna sneak a 3rd winter in on us 🤣Hope you guys have been having good fishing weather. I’m just over here patiently waiting 😩

I’ll be there šŸ¤˜šŸ½

I’ve felt the same way. I’ve gotten better and caught more fish than I thought were around. The not seeing with our visible eye can be tough, not as fun, but it is crazy how many more fish you passed by once you start to fish them. I like to see what I’m fishing sometimes. Having to imagine or even seeing it on sonar isn’t the same as visibly seeing the changes or seeing what your casting at to catch the fish.

Yeah that was a good point, I’ve fished them like he’s saying without even realizing it. I think some of it for me is secondary points and a lot are missed thinking back at times on the lake last year I didnt see a lot of people fishing them.
