Doc Trez no sir, due to new years we fish it next Saturday. It's lake Bowen in Spartanburg county. They have wardens office at the lake to get the sticker. The name of our club is lake Bowen big bass tournament!

Doc Trez more than happy to share the information along with you. It's a local lake up here in Spartanburg and we weigh in our one biggest bass we catch that day. It's $20 a person with a $20 optional side pot that is split between the biggest large mouth and biggest spotted bass. We fish the first Saturday of every month unless a holiday falls during the first week of the month then it is the second Saturday that month. Only issue is this lake is run by our local water company and they charge a certain sticker for the lake and hp has to be 115 or less. It's pretty steep for an out of county resident to get the sticker. Not exactly sure the exact price though.

Hey Doc, I do live in the Spartanburg area. Tron and I loved pretty close to each other and tight as brothers. Time is precious for sure man but would love nothing more than to get out on the water with you some time! We can for work that out sometime soon! I look forward to it and tight lines my man!

2025-the love/hate relationship year. I loved how you treated me on the water. I hated how you treated me off the water. I'll always love that you're the year my babies (yes, you'll always be my babies) caught their first fish. I'll love that I caught both quality and quantity. You were better than years prior by far. 2026- let's work on that off-the-water stuff, but please keep being just as good to me on the water. Happy New Year, everybody 🎣🎉

You and I both! He was special to say the least. He had a huge impact on us both but I know without a shadow of a doubt cause he would talk to me about the impact you had on him too. Can't ever thank you enough for that!

What’s up Straight Up Fishing fam. Fishing has been few and far between since Thanksgiving with everything going on — the passing of Tron, Christmas, work, and just learning how to manage all of it. It’s been a mix of grief, responsibility, and the chaos that comes with the holidays.

Over the past couple of days, with some unexpected downtime and the Christmas rush finally slowing down, I took the time to turn a shadow box with some candy and a gift card into a small memorial for my brother. I truly felt his presence while putting it together.

I know without a shadow of a doubt he’s still in my ear telling me to try my hand as a co-angler in the BFLs. I hate to admit it, but this is what it finally took for me to pull the trigger and commit to it.

So BLat and anyone else in the SUF community — if you’ve got any tips, advice, or words of encouragement for a first-time BFL co, I’m all ears. Appreciate y’all more than you know. 🎣
