I’d love to but not while I live here in NC

I’m struggling hard to catch fish.

I can’t tell if its just the summer paired with the bodies of water I have available or what, but I just can’t seem to get on the fish. I’m throwing everything you can think of. I catch one here and there on a frog, a wacky, spinner baits, flipping jigs, you name it I’ll catch one on it…. But I’ll go out for 5 hours and catch one fish.

I’m fishing rivers. The confluence of the Neuse and Trent near New Bern, NC. Any advice appreciated.

It’s a pretty cool place. I don’t catch a lot of fish though, of course I’ve only fished here in the summer so far. There are areas here where you can catch Bass, redfish, flounder, and speckled trout in the same spot Kevin Skovenski

Yes there is. I’ve fished it some. There is a long stretch on the trent where the bank is very steep with some flats cut out and creeks coming in. The bank drops from 2 foot depth to 20 almost immediately. There is current but the flow rate changes drastically throughout the day because these are tidal rivers, they even reverse direction fairly often.

Fishing the Neuse/Trent rivers here in NC. Just cant seem to find anything larger than these dinks. Lots of frogging and flipping pads. Need to find deeper water, surface temp was 88° yesterday. Fished a couple 15-25 foot holes with a big worm, one little tap but no fish.
