It’s hard to beat top water when it’s almost November. 5 pounder on the new 7’3ā€ level rods NRX and a 7 1/2 on a buzzbaitšŸ”„

Brian Barde yeah I’ve done that…it just never even crossed my mind, sadly lol

Used the 1035 registration code not the ZNWV tournament IDšŸ˜‚

Hahah! I was tired. Made my little card and just plain old forgot to look at the tournament ID versus the registration code. Simply put…it was my too dumb moment of the day lol (fortunately they don’t happen every day)

Welp! Don’t make the same mistake I did🤣 my friends and I have a ā€œtoo dumb momentā€ chat and this was mine - not thinking, staying up late cleaning my boat and organizing tackle, I wrote the REGISTRATION CODE instead of the tournament ID last weekend. And go figure, they were CHEWING. Had, I think 104 or 105ā€ and it was all for not🄲 haha. It’s all good! Back at it again this weekend hopefully

I’m going to use it as a frog rod and a light flipping rod 1/4-3/8oz. Probably bed fishing with some lighter line (15-17lb test)

Unfortunately I didn’t get to lay into any fish with the frog! But, the balance and weight are definitely better than I anticipated. Really enjoyed using it and I plan on slowly converting over most (or all) my rods to them.

What’s your best suggestion for a ā€˜trap rod? It’s a big player in the couple of places I fish regularly.

No sir. As long as you’re signed up on the Fishing Chaos app

Just need to make sure you have the 4 digit code and you can write it on whatever you want. As long as it is visible with the fish and the ruler that you use

Just got the new Level rods in! 7’3ā€ heavy rated up to 3/4 oz. To replace my current frogging rod. I’ll update this after tomorrow or Sunday. Fall classic starts so I’ll be on the water!

Looks - 10/10!

Feel - 8.5/10 - balances really well, but just ever so slightly tip heavy (in my opinion)

Rod action - 8/10 definitely going to be great for frogs and up to 3/8 oz flipping and in tighter areas. Which is exactly what I wanted

Price - 10/10 - I’ve always found that rods in the $150-$300 range are the best. And this fits the bill

This is just from opening the package and holding it and making a couple casts in the back yard

First - I got the 4 digit code for the fall classic, do we need to make a purchase on your site as well, Brian? Have it open now, so I’m happy too!

Also, ordered my first Level rodsšŸ’ŖšŸ½ 7’3ā€ heavy for froggin and lighter action flipping! If it goes well, I’ll commit to the bit and switch everything over.

Now I need recs for reels. I’ve been a Lews guy since I started tournament fishing. I’ve gotten a couple new ones and had issues with drag slipping etc. lemme know your thoughts, guys!
