Reel a load into the rod and sweep has been working for me. Maintain tension until you’ve landed it.

Hey Brian thanks for the answer! I was fishing for stocked trout (powerbait dough and mice tails ) on a low contour pond floating it off the bottom with a swivel and a sliding weight. Using google I noticed that the majority of the structure is on the south end of the pond. On the north end of the pond there is some emerged vegetation, a inlet and some undercut bank. I typically cut the body of water in half north and south and don’t fish the southern side because I have had almost all my success on the north end of any body of water.

I’m thinking of getting into hunting in the next couple years. So I’m pretty curious on perspectives.

For anyone that hunts could you use the same process we learn here to breakdown a lake to breakdown an area for deer or turkey?

Caught my first Trout today on a floating Carolina rig with a powerboat mouse tail.

It’s a small pond that stock in the winter months.

I tried rooster tails for about 3 evenings after work for about a hour each trip, caught 2 bass and a crappie.

Sent you a message Brian for Tron not sure if it got to you.

I got distracted by the tank full of rainbow trout behind it when. Probably a thousand people there including Santa. Building spans about 4 acres and 3 stories.
