I fished a long stretch of water today and there were only two docks that were sticking out into the deeper water around 8’ deep. The rest of the docks were small and only got to 3-4’ of water on outside posts. I took my time and picked the water apart about an hour and a half total in 200 yards. I fished the grass between the docks and caught a few 1-2lb. I dropped a wacky rig to the outside posts on both deeper water docks and caught a largemouth on both. The docks were holding a 2-3/4 and 5-1/2lb bass. Like advised many times in videos and lessons here, staying off the trolling motor I believe is a huge factor. That’s one my goals for the rest of the season to work on boat control and setting up to drift to my target area.

Kevin S. Makes sense thank you, I typically use one of these just wasn’t sure if a bigger bait flapping would be good or bad, I didnt think about one keeping the bait higher up in the water than others.
