I'll have to look that up. I did throw a frog in it tonight, and I got a big strike. That was exciting.

Would understanding and choosing the correct water body type be of any value? Maybe that's part of the "bass" or "legal" discussion. I know I spent a lot of time reading my states Wildlife resources to just understand what bodies of water contained the best types of fish at what times.

I'm no expert by any means, but I recently spooled FC, after watching one of these videos. I was getting backlash almost every cast. It seemed the spool would spin faster with the FC, over braid. So how I solved it was I set the brake to max, and tightened down the tension knob and started casting. I then would back off a little after each cast, or pull the brake back a click until I could cast OK without the backlash. I now have gotten a better feel, so I can switch baits without too much issue. But at first, I wanted to chuck my pole into the lake. LOL

For me, and my limited skill, it seems that doing that "fall to the ground" test was completely different on my setup depending on whether I was on braid, or FC. Maybe something there will help you.
